With the purchase of your new home, you will receive a 1-year warranty. The warranty will start the either on the date of occupancy or final settlement, whichever occurs first. Although a new home requires preventative/routine maintenance from homeowners, there are some things that may occur due to natural expansion/contraction characteristics of wood (cracked caulking, sheet rock nail pops, etc.). Items such as these may not occur until after home occupancy and when the home starts to settle. If these issues arise, they will addressed in the Service Work of the Home Warranty. Also, in addition to your 1-year home warranty, you may receive a 10-year structural warranty through a third party entity. This warranty can only be purchased by approved contractors.
